Dr. Sanam Abrishami is an individual and group therapist at PCH and private practice in West Los Angeles. Dr. Abrishami earned her BA in psychology and history at UCLA and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from CSPP, an APA-accredited school. Dr. Abrishami has worked with multicultural populations ranging from low to high acuity in inpatient and outpatient facilities. In the ten years she has been at PCH, Dr. Abrishami has taken an interest in working with clients who struggle with OCD and other anxiety disorders, mood disorders, CPTSD, and addictive/unworkable behaviors. Additionally, she enjoys facilitating process and psycho-education groups on various topics and subjects.
To bring an integrative model of therapy to her clients, Dr. Abrishami has extensive training/certification in various modalities such as ERP, ACT, DBT, IFS, SMART Recovery, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Dr. Abrishami is fluent in Farsi/Persian.
In her work at PCH and her private practice, Dr. Abrishami creates a safe and warm environment for her clients where they can understand and break their repeated patterns to live healthier and happier lives.
