Laurette is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has provided family therapy, EMDR and group facilitation at PCH for the past ten years. In her private practice, Laurette works with individuals, couples and families challenged by anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, grief, chronic and acute medical conditions and life transitions. Laurette has been a Clinical Specialist with the Department of Neurology at UCLA and is a mental health consultant for the Epilepsy Foundation. Previously, Laurette counseled students in LA County schools, provided counseling for homeless youth and offered home-based intervention and support for Early Head Start Families. Laurette has additional training/certification in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, ACT, Mindfulness and the Gottman Method of couples counseling. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Stanford University, her MA in Clinical Psychology and Applied Community Psychology from Antioch University and post-graduate education at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. Laurette also has been a clinical supervisor for MFT interns.
