Dr. Angelina Zarokian is a licensed clinical psychologist in both California and Texas. She graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Zarokian's research focuses on the differential diagnosis between Autism and ADHD.
Her pre and post-doctoral training involved working with diverse populations with psychological and developmental issues, including the geriatric population, adults, adolescents, children, families, couples, those with dual diagnoses, along with patients suffering from TBI( Traumatic Brain Injury). Dr. Zarokian has worked in various settings, including schools, private practices, homes, program facilities, recovery centers, and clinics. Dr. Zarokian is trained in multiple psychological assessments and uses a dynamic, process-oriented Existential-Humanistic approach in conceptualizing client problems. She utilizes psychodynamic therapy along with evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and MCBT as appropriate for each client. Dr. Zarokian holds certifications in CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional), Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Certified Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She incorporates mindfulness techniques into her treatment approach. In therapy, Dr. Zarokian maintains a warm and compassionate style while also challenging clients therapeutically to elicit internal motivation and change.
